It's hard to see Ava squirm when she used to eat guys like him for lunch. And Austin is, um, wilting? Who knew the middle of the week would be full of so many ups and downs. Also, Elizabeth and Cam are magic. And thank God Ava has Trina.

Gia and Keisha are feeling a bit lackluster today. Is it them (probably), or is it the stale storylines that just won't. move. forward. All of the above? There were some good performances, of course: Liesl, Willow, Esme, Elizabeth. Baby Cassadine. But how about mixing it up a little? Or maybe think about setting a timer on some of these stories? Too many good characters are waiting in the wings while Alexis and Gregory try to figure out how to be interesting together. And that's just the tip of the Ice Princess.

Willow was fading fast, but it looks like Liesl might be bringing the marrow! Will there be strings attached (and by strings, we mean Nina)? Meanwhile, Nikolas is looking a bit under the weather. Will Mason make Ava pay for bonking old Nik and stuffing him in a closet? Also, Dante and Chase spend quite a long time in towels. Probably because we haven't had a shower scene in months. And Dex and Sonny enjoy a pleasant meal, which Gia would have enjoyed more if Dex had been wearing a towel.

Wow. There is some acting going on in that hospital. The D'Emmy for Best Performance From a Hospital Bed has to go to Esme, but Austin was able to deliver the sass from his bed, and that's not easy. Heather was at her best as a completely unhinged but loving (?) mom. And Ava and Spencer! So many layers. If not for the matter of the bonked Nikolas, it almost seems as though they could be pals. Plus, Laura once again shows you don't have to kill a bunch of people to show you care. Also, there was some Curtis and Jordan stuff that kind of sucked the air out of the room. Can this storyline be saved? Let's hope.

Austin's alive! Phew. Now how about we give him a decent storyline? And Ryan's dead! Like, seen the body dead! So Port Charles is a little safer. Well, as safe as a soap opera town can be. Which is not very. Look at Willow. Just fading away while everyone wrings their hands. And Nina is back to being Nina. Sonny is back to being Sonny. Gia is in love with Taggert and Dex. Keisha misses Jason. It's all very messy.

Not Austin too! He's one of only four doctors at General Hospital, and at lease one has been lassoed by a wedding dress, so who's available to stitch him up? Call Finn, Ava! Call Finn! And while you're at it, maybe call Alexis and Gregory (remembered!) and tell them to go grab a grilled cheese because they are adding nothing to the proceedings. On the plus side, Trina and Spencer are looking real good together. And sounding good. Bet they even smell good. Poor Esme's probably not smelling too good, all soggy and doubled over. Esme 2 really is paying for the sins of Esme 1. Not sure what the lesson is there. Hopefully the PCPD can get to Wyndemere before more bad things happen (not super confident), and maybe the Spoon Island baby can become friends with the Corinthos baby. That would be cute.

Stella. Stella, Stella, Stella! Yeesh. You're as bad as Jordan! Poor Trina. At least she has Spencer. Looking all handsome, standing there quietly. Kind of like hospital Sonny, who is the Sonny we all need. Looks like his days are numbered though. And then there's Ryan. Yikes. Apparently killing people for no reason is like riding a bike. Poor Esme. Karma is a bitch. Plus, the Hook is back! Where is the security on this island?! And don't Ava and Felicia look good, joining forces and not just collapsing in tears and soiling themselves which, by the way, would be an appropriate reaction to seeing that evil bastard walking around without a single bedsore, apparently.

Jordan. Jordan. Jordan! Acting like she's guided by some noble purpose. Come on. Maybe spend a little time, oh, let's see,...hey, isn't there a serial killer on the loose? Do your job! Plus, Stella knows! Stella! Portia will be on the receiving end of so much judgmental eye rolling and tsk tsking, she'll want to pitch herself off a parapet. Also, Gia hasn't enjoyed a cocktail in eight days, so she's become a bit philosophical, a bit introspective. And inspired by Willow's determination to see that her needs are met, Gia would like it known that when she is circling the drain she will need to be surrounded by no less than 8 miniature donkeys. Huh. Eight days dry, eight donkeys....What will nine days bring? Keisha would like a box of donuts and a bunny. Whether she's dying or not.

So Nikolas might actually be dead? Is that necessary? He's probably not dead. He's fine. Ava can be dangerous, sure. But she's not known for her upper body strength. Okay, so now onto Willow. She's got to have a match somewhere in soap opera land. God, what if it's Cody. He'd be insufferable. Or Drew. Maybe those two shouldn't get tested. Anyway, some big stuff going down. And interrupted (inexplicably) with Alexis playing guidance counselor to,....I want to say George? No--Gregory. Gregory. Yeah, no. Unless Alexis and Gregory are working on finding a donor for Willow (and why aren't they working on finding a donor for Willow? Isn't it possible to pursue two solutions at the same time?), we don't need them clogging the works. Sorry. Really. Sorry. Also, Gia isn't drinking for thirty days, so we'll see if this affects her performance.

Also in need of a bonking: Mason, Linc, Finn (for helping but not helping). Drew (because, well, you know). Will Mason find a freshly bonked Nikolas? And then what? Will Chase go back to being a cop, or remain a singer, or bonk Linc and be neither? And then there's The Hook.
